Daniel Sgan-Cohen
Daniel Sgan-Cohen, born in Tel Aviv in the 1980s, is a highly accomplished sculptor with a career spanning over a decade. Since 2012, he has worked on numerous freelance projects between Jerusalem and Berlin, earning a reputation for his expertise in working with plaster, stone, and concrete. His focus on the human body, which has been a core influence throughout his career, drives the precision and craftsmanship seen in his work. His sculptures are recognized for their technical skill and the strong, tactile connection to the materials he uses.
In addition to his traditional sculpting, Daniel has successfully expanded his skill set to include 3D modeling and animation, integrating digital techniques into his practice. This dual expertise has led to notable collaborations, including the creation of character concepts for Polypixos NFTs and the development of electronic designs for Poweropti. His ability to navigate both the physical and digital realms has positioned him as a sought-after figure in the intersection of traditional sculpture and modern technology.
Currently, Daniel teaches at SAE Berlin, where he imparts his knowledge of sculptural form and texture to students.
