Maya Ben-Meir

Maya Ben-Meir was born in Tel-Aviv and grew up both in Israel and the United States, where her mother moved them to when she was nine. Perhaps that’s when Maya’s travel bug made itself known, as she has been living between the two countries ever since.

She and Gabriel first met at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance when they were both pursuing performance degrees in the early 2000’s. They started working together during the Pandemic, and today Maya helps keep things running at Hebrew Tattoos. Perhaps she will be the person to reach out to you when you get in touch about a new tattoo idea…

Maya and her partner, Christopher, caught that travel bug together and traveled all over the US in a camper for 10 months, after which they spent over a year traveling Asia, trying (and failing) to decide which country has the best street-food. You can ask her about her opinion, but be prepared for a treatise on noodles and dumplings.

Aside from her organizational prowess, Maya’s creativity expresses itself via music as she grew up singing and playing, both recreationally and professionally, and has been performing on stage since the age of six. Today Maya can be seen in New York City and elsewhere, singing in various ensemble and choral concerts spanning a variety of musical styles, or curating one-woman shows where she can express her love of rock gods such as Freddie Mercury and Queen.

You never really know where she is in the world, but feel free to ask. She’ll always be happy to tell you.
